Will the actual item look exactly the same as the product images?
Our product images are provided as a visual reference to showcase the overall design, colour direction, and styling of the garment. As items are produced in batches, minor variations may occur between production runs.
These variations may include:
- Slight differences in colour tone due to fabric dyeing processes
- Subtle changes in fabric texture or weight
- Minor variations in print, embroidery placement, or finishing details
All photos are taken under professional lighting, and actual colours may also appear slightly different depending on individual screen settings and device displays.
Such variations are considered a normal part of the production process and do not affect the quality or wearability of the garment.
By placing an order, customers acknowledge and accept that minor variations may occur and that these do not qualify as defects or grounds for returns, exchanges, or refunds.
What is the best way to care for the garment during the first wash?
To preserve the quality, colour, and structure of your garment, we recommend the following care steps for the first wash:
- Wash the garment separately using cold or room-temperature water
- Hand wash with mild detergent
- Avoid soaking for extended periods
- Dry indoors
Proper first-wash care helps maintain the fabric’s colour, texture, and overall finish.
Will the colour bleed during washing?
Some colours, particularly deeper or more saturated tones, may release a small amount of excess dye during the first wash. This is normal and usually stabilises afterwards.
To prevent colour transfer, we strongly advise washing the garment separately and avoiding contact with lighter-coloured items during the initial wash.
How do I choose the right size?
Please refer to our size chart provided for each design. For the best fit, we recommend taking your body measurements and comparing them carefully with the chart provided.
- If you are between sizes, consider sizing up
- If you prefer a looser or more modest fit, sizing up is recommended
Why do my new clothes produce bubbles when first soaked?
This is a normal occurrence for newly manufactured garments. During production, fabrics may retain light finishing agents, fabric softeners, or dye residues, which can cause bubbles when first soaked.
A separate initial wash helps remove these residues and ensures the garment feels fresh and comfortable against the skin.
ORDERS RELATED
Are the items ready stock or pre-order?
All items are ready stock, unless stated otherwise. Once payment is confirmed, orders will be processed within the stated timeframe.
Can I amend or cancel my order after payment?
Once payment is successfully completed, orders are processed promptly to ensure timely fulfilment. For this reason, order amendments or cancellations are not permitted.
We kindly encourage customers to review their order details carefully before completing checkout.
SHIPPING
When will my order be shipped?
Orders are usually processed and dispatched within 2-5 working days after payment confirmation, excluding weekends and public holidays.
During peak periods (e.g. festive and sales seasons), processing times may be slightly longer due to higher order volumes.
Will my order arrive before Raya?
While we strive to dispatch orders as quickly as possible, delivery timelines are subject to courier service performance. To reduce the risk of delays during the festive rush, we strongly recommend placing orders early.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order, which will be shown during checkout.
Where do you ship to?
We currently offer nationwide shipping within Malaysia. Delivery charges and estimated delivery times may vary depending on location and courier service.
REFUNDS, RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to hygiene considerations and limited inventory (especially during peak seasons), we only accept returns or exchanges for items that are verified to be defective.
Returns due to change of mind, sizing, or colour preference are not accepted.
What is considered a defective item?
A defective item refers to a manufacturing fault, such as:
- Major stains
- Tears or damage
- Incorrect item received
Minor measurements and colour variations due to lighting or screen differences are not considered defects.
What is not considered a defective item?
- Minor variations in colour, measurements (±1–3 cm), fabric texture, or finishing details are considered normal and are not classified as defects
- Colours may appear different due to lighting or screen settings
- Pre-order production timelines are estimates and not guaranteed

How do I report a defective item?
If you believe you have received a defective item, please contact us at admin@ourdetik.my within 5 days of receiving your parcel and provide clear photos or videos as supporting evidence.
How can I request a return or exchange?
If you believe your item is eligible for a return or exchange, please contact us at admin@ourdetik.my within 5 days of receiving your parcel and provide clear photos or videos as supporting evidence. All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure they meet our policy criteria.
Once your exchange request has been reviewed and approved, return instructions and the return address will be provided via email. The item must be returned in its original condition
- The item must be unworn, unwashed, and unused
- All original tags and packaging must remain intact
- Receipt or proof of purchase must be provided
The following terms apply to all exchanges:
- If an item is exchanged for another item of lower value, the price difference will not be refunded
- Only one time exchange is allowed for each item
- Customers are responsible for all shipping costs related to the exchange, including:
1. Return shipping to us
2. Shipping of the replacement item - Shipping costs will only be covered by us if the exchange is due to a verified defect or an error on our part
- We are not responsible for lost or damaged return parcels during transit
- Discounted, clearance, items marked as-is or custom products are strictly not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds

Are refunds available?
Kindly note that we do not offer refunds.
On a case-by-case basis, fefunds are only applicable if a defect is confirmed and a replacement is unavailable. Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
PRE-ORDER
What does “pre-order” mean?
A pre-order item is a design that is not immediately available for dispatch and is produced in limited quantities based on confirmed orders. This allows us to better manage production quality while offering exclusive designs.
How long is the pre-order waiting period?
The estimated waiting period for pre-order items will be clearly stated on the product page.
Timelines are provided as an estimate and may vary slightly due to production schedules, fabric availability, or quality control processes.
Can pre-order items be cancelled or refunded?
Pre-order items are strictly non-cancellable and non-refundable once payment is confirmed, as production begins based on confirmed orders.
We kindly ask customers to review all details carefully before placing a pre-order.
Can I combine pre-order and ready stock items in one order?
If pre-order and ready stock items are placed in the same order, the entire order will be shipped together once the pre-order item is ready.
To receive ready stock items earlier, we recommend placing separate orders.
What if there is a delay in my pre-order?
While we strive to meet all stated timelines, unforeseen delays may occasionally occur due to production or logistical factors. In such cases, customers will be informed accordingly.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritise quality over speed.
Will pre-order items arrive before Raya?
For Raya collections, pre-order timelines are planned carefully. However, delivery before Raya is not guaranteed unless explicitly stated.
We strongly advise placing pre-orders early and selecting ready stock items if timing is critical.
